Anime Cipher Chapter 15: The Final Sight Revealed

Rating: M (due to language only)

Summary: 4 different stories all merge into one great adventure. Kiara Davis, a high school senior has no love greater than anime. But how will she react when some of her favorite anime characters are actually appearing in front of her own eyes? And not only that, but she gets pulled into their world as well! Could it be because of her own private code she created out of pure boredom? What is all this leading to?

“We’ve got to save her!” Kia said urgently. “We need to go now!”
“Kia, she’s already done her part for them…” Rikia stated. “How do you know… if she’s even still-”
“Don’t finish that sentence!” she stopped her. “Rayna won’t give up without a fight and I have to help her!”
“Kia calm down.” Kei told her comforting as she screamed, “How can I calm down when my best friend might die?!
“They aren’t gonna kill her.” they heard Kota say. “At least not yet.”
“What?” they all gave him a look.
“Ah! I got it!” Ryosuke nodded in agreement. “Discovering the remaining four Sights is already a miracle. They know that we’re trying to unite them all. And since we have three…”
“They think we’ll come for the last one!” Tsubasa realized as he nodded. “Exactly. So they’re gonna use her as bait for us.”
“We’ve already talked about the risk of going to them though…” Yuri pointed out. We’ve been getting into their lairs so easily…”
“Which means this time we have to really work together to get to Rayna before they kill her.” Kia thought. “It’ll be easy to see find where they are. But as for what they might plan to catch us, we need to really lay low, Hakufu.”
“And the Kirst. We need them out of the way if we’re going tonight.” Ryutaro pointed out. Kia nodded as they began to strategize a plan.

"Daiki!" He heard as he hung around the school, sittin on a bench watching students go by. He lit up, "Been awhile, Hakufu. Last time I saw you, you weren't a Sight."
"Heh, actually I was. It just Oburi was there so we couldn't say anything." She answered sitting next to him. "Anyways, I got some bad news. The second barrier was opened."
"What?" He sat up. "When?"
"About an hour ago in the anime world. Kia thinks the Pipers got Rayna."
"That's impossible. She was here yesterday. She couldn't have gotten caught."
"We checked on Yuto and he's safe. Rayna's the only option. Were gonna save her." she explained. He shook his head, "what? Are you crazy?! You're all gonna get yourselves killed!"
"We've done it before."
"You got lucky before!" He answered. "They aren't to be taken lightly."
"We know. We all came up with a brilliant plan." She stated. He gave her a look, “I don’t care how good of a plan it is, you’re risking your lives! You’re the last four Sights!”
“Daiki, don’t you trust us?” she asked seriously as he nodded, “I trust you guys, but that doesn’t mean your plan won’t get you hurt.”
“It won’t hurt. We’re just gonna sneak in and get out. It’ll be easy.” she said. “It’s a simple fast plan, no one has to get hurt as long as we stay hidden.”
"I'm gonna help." He stated. "It's my job to watch over the Sights since finding them, but Kia’s always acting on her own. I’m failing her as her mentor."
"We're watching over her Daiki. She needs you to do something else." She pointed out.
"What?"
"Oburi. She's getting suspicious and feeling left out." She answered. "Could you keep an eye on her? We've been stuck in the anime world for a while that we don't have time to cover up where we are."
"After I want to join you guys-"
"No, Daiki. Anymore people would be risking being discovered."
"But-"
"Please. Just keep an eye on Oburi." She asked as he groaned, "She's fine. We were together earlier today. Why do I have to babysit her...."
"You were doing the same thing with Kia." She gave him a look as he sighed, "fine..."
"Thanks-" she began to get up as he held her hand down with his.
"Promise me something though." He pleaded seriously, staring deeply into her eyes. "If things get too out of hand, get outta there. Don't worry about the Browsers, just get out."
"What?!" She gave him a look. "What's gotten into you? Why would I leave someone behind like that?"
"It's the browser's job to protect you Sights. We've already lost one, we can't lose anymore." He said seriously.
"I can't promise that I'll leave the browsers behind... But if things get out of hand. I'll make sure we get outta there. All of us. That I can promise."
".... Fine." He let go of her hand. "I can accept that."
"Good."
"If you need help, please call me." He told her sincerely. She nodded, "I will. And I'll keep you updated." He nodded as she moved to an isolated corner and whispered to herself, “Teleport. Grey’s Cove.” She vanished as he sighed, staring up at the sky, “Well, looks like its almost time…”

“... urgh! Hah! Ngh!” Yuto groaned as he punched and kicked the punching bag hanging in the cove. He panted, stopping for a break as he took down a huge gulp water. He looked around, realizing how much bigger it was. He shook off the feeling, beginning train again, until he fell to the ground in exhaustion. He stared up at the moist cave as he covered his eyes with his arms, “... Now what…”
“Beats me.” he heard as he quickly got up to see Hakufu sitting at the table. He glared, “What the hell are you doing here?”
“I could ask you the same question.” she said standing up. “What are you doing here when your friend needs your help?”
“Hikaru isn’t my friend. We were just working together. Temporarily.” he said seriously. “Now would you leave me alone?”
“You felt it too, didn’t you? The second barrier?” she questioned, ignoring him. He seemed to hesitate, but nodded, “Yeah.”
“And you’re not gonna do anything about it? The Pipers are closer to the scroll now.” she told him as he nodded, “And as long as we remain separated, it will be easier to prevent the remaining three barriers from being opened. If you stay with the Browsers, you and Kia are sitting ducks. It will only be a matter of time before they find you.”
“Doesn’t matter, because we’re going to them.”
“Are you stupid-”
“I thought we were really similar at first.” she told him. “It was obvious that you have high walls built around you too. You always had Hikaru with you so I thought that it was just like me, having trust issues, but I see now that its something more than that.”
“What are you getting at?” he gave her a look.
“You… hate getting close to people.” she thought. “It’s not that you don’t trust well. It’s just that you don’t want to get close to anyone.” He scoffed, “Alright, you got me. It’s stupid to have other people weighing you down. You should only rely on yourself.”
“Yet you relied on Hikaru and he never failed you.” she argued as he flinched. “He was getting past those walls of yours and it scared you."
"What's your point?" He glared trying to change the subject.
"Whatever you're afraid of, you've got to face it. Not just to help the Browsers, or Hikaru, it'll help you."
"How? How in the world will that help me?!"
"Are you just gonna live the rest of your life without getting close to anyone?" She wondered as he became quiet. "What kinda life is that if you're avoiding everyone?" He was quiet. "Yuto,  Kia won't admit it but I know we need you. If you're there the success will be more ensured."
"You all will do fine without me." He stated.
"... I don't want to force you to help, but do keep Hikaru in mind. I mean even Kia and I are trying-"
"You guys don't need to try!" He stopped her. "Friendship is just a waste of time! It's pointless! The-" A slap came to his face as she glared, "Don't take friendship for granted! If Kia has taught me anything, it's that friendship is everything, friends will always be there for you through thick and thin, through any problem, no matter how much trouble it may be, they'll do anything and everything they can for you." Yuto was silent as she sighed, "you've seen her in action. Everything she's done, every danger she's faced, that was all to find Rayna."
"... Why? Why would she do so much for her? They weren't even friends that long..."
"Time doesn't measure friendship. Friendship is measure by the memories you share with that person, good or bad." She answered. "Why do you think she loves anime so much? Both Aluna and Scroll Quest are about a group of friends trying to make it through hardships together." He reflected on the way he’s observed her with the other Browsers. She explained, “I’ll admit, I found it strange that she trust these people enough with her friendship even if she’s only know them for a few months. But that’s how friendships start. With trust.”
“Look…” Hakufu said moving closer to him. “I’m the same. I’m not good with having friends, but at least I’m trying. I’m not in the place to say this, but from what I know. Kia was too.”
“That brat? She’s always with friends, what would she know-”
“She was often alone, which is why  anime and manga gave her comfort. They were her only friends until she met Rayna. It’s because of Rayna that she was able to come out of her shell and socialize a little more. Soon to the point where she was friends with plenty of people.”
“Don’t you see now how important Rayna is to her? Despite not knowing her long?” she told him.
“She doesn’t know what its like…. to lose a friend…” he stated.
“How would you know? You never even gave her a chance.” she answered. “If you don’t help us, she’s gonna lose the one person who made such an impact in her life. Do you want that to happen?”
“That’s not my problem.” he said softly. “It’s her friend. Not mine.”
“... Fine.” she gave him. “But the least you could do is tell me how you found Kia.”
“What?”
“Hikaru told us. That you were able to locate Kia when he first suspected her as a Sight. As if you were looking for her.” she pointed out. He was silent. “I won’t insist on getting the details out of you about that. But how you located her might help with locating the exact location of Rayna. You didn’t know Kia’s actual name so you must have located her another way.”
“... the code is used with specificity… but it can still be used with generalization.” he answered. “The portal won’t show you without having an image and the targets full name in mind. But a locator code should. I asked it to find the Sight Hikaru had met, and it lead me to Kia.”
“... I see. Thanks.” Hakufu said, walking off. “We’re heading to Krysalin if you happen to change your mind. We could really use another Sight. This is our last teammate, you know…” He didn’t respond as she sighed, “Teleport. Krysalin Outskirts.” She vanished as Yuto thought about their conversation. He gritted, “It’s not like I care whatever happens to that pest. She’s been a nuisance ever since we met…” He got up, turning back to his punching bag but stopped. He groaned, “It’s pointless. The only thing that comes with friendship is pain…” He grabbed his coat, walking out of the cove and into the sunset.

“Alright…” Kia said through Rena’s mind link as teams were spread out. “Let’s put part 1 into action. Is everyone in position?”
“Beta is in position.” Karina said as she, Ryosuke, Yuri, and Kyoumi hid within some bushes near the entrance.
“Copy that, with Gamma.” they heard from Kota who was with Aoki, Rena, and Rikia.
“Delta team, are you ready?” Hakufu called as they soon heard from Tsubasa, “As ready as we’ll ever be.” She waited near the road leading to the lair with Keito, Yuya, and Mai.
“On your cue…” Keito said as Kia nodded, “Now.”
“*whistle*” all the Kirst turned towards the road, where Keito, Tsubasa, Yuya, and Mai stood out in the open.
“Hey! Are you giant freaks hungry?! Come and get us!” Keito shouted as they began following them into the forest.
“Part 1 Completed. Part 2 is a go. Alpha, Beta, Gamma! Positions!” Kia ordered as the rest of them moved into the clearing, large piles of fur on top of pairs. She froze as she saw a window struggling to open, “Hold positions!”
“What the hell is going on out there?!” they heard a loud voice scream. Kyoko looked out of the window as she glared at the Browsers disguised as Kirst, “We’re trying to get some beauty sleep! Can’t you stand watch quietly?!” She stormed back in as Kia beamed, “Looks like the disguise work… Part 2 completed. On to Part 3. Alpha team, head towards the entrance. Beta, Gamma, stand watch as if you were the actual Kirst. Delta, how long do you think you can stall the Kirst?”
“Half an hour max.” Keito answered.
“Than we better move quick.” Kei said as he, Ryutaro, and Hikaru rushed after Hakufu and Kia, still under their fur disguise.

“This is stupid… Why do we have to hide under these fat chunks of fur…” Aoki gritted as she sat on top of Kota’s shoulder to make them look as large as the Kirst. “We should just get in there and fight?”
“Even if it means risking not only your life, but the rest of your team’s?” he whispered. She became silent as she responded, “It’s my job as a knight to fight for what I stand for… even if it means sacrificing my life.”
“Aren’t you just a knight in training?” he gave her a look as she smacked his head, “Hey! I would’ve been a knight already if Hikaru hadn’t gone missing-”
“Sh! You’re gonna get us caught.” he told her as she pouted. They peeked through the holes in the fur as Kota called to the other half of his team, “Are you two okay over there?”
“It’s too hot in this thing…” Rena groaned as she sat on top of Rikia. “Ugh, it was better when I was disguised at the tinier, slimier side of them.” Rikia gave her a look, “Imagine how it feels down here.”
“Quit your complaining and walk around a lil.” she said. “We can’t just stay in one position. We need to act like the Kirst never left.”
“Beta, how are things on your end?” Rena questioned through the mind link.
We’re good on this side. No sign of anything suspicious yet.” Yuri replied.  “You don’t see anything up there do you, Kyoumi?” She shook her head, “We’re in the clear so far.”
“We’re good too.” Karina said as she was on top of Ryosuke’s shoulders. “If anyone sees anything suspicious, be sure to warn the rest of us so we can help.”

“Alright, we’re in.” Kia told the rest of the teams. “Hakufu.”
“Got it…” she said. “Locate. The Final Sight who opened the second barrier.” A light suddenly formed and sped off in the direction of Rayna. “Hurry!” They turned a corner as the light faded and Ronin stood near.
"We've been expecting-"
"Teleport, Ronin! Cryptic Forest!" Kia said as vanished. "Hakufu again!"
"Locate! The final sight who opened the final barrier!" The light appeared again as Kia said, "grab it!" She  quickly did and asked, "Um, why?"
"Let it direct you from under the disguise otherwise someone else might see it." She explained. "We need I move faster. Ronin might have warned the others." They continued to follow the lights direction, soon stopping in front of a room.
"Hikaru?" She said as he lightly tapped the door. The vibrations came back to him. There's two people in there. Someone's out cold on the floor, the other rating on a chair nearby."
"... Hakufu and I will sneak in. You three wait by the door and watch our back." Kia thought. She and Hakufu both focused, "invisibility." As the two disappeared and headed into the room, Kei and Hikaru made sure they didn't make any noises.

“Delta, how’s it going with the Kirst?” Karina questioned through the mind link. Keito panted, “It’s alright. We’re putting up a good fight, but as usual they aren’t breaking a sweat. Have they reached the final Sight?”
“They’re trying to get her out right now. Hang on just a little longer.”
“Alright- Ah!” he groaned in pain as Karina called, “Keito… Keito what happened?” She got no response.
“Shit…” Rena said. “Guys, Keito was knocked out. He’s been pulled out of the link. Mai, what’s happening over there?”
“One of the Pipers is here!” she answered. “I’ve got Keito, but Yuya and Tsubasa are having trouble taking care of the Kirst and Yukio!”
“Come on! We gotta help!” Aoki said kicking Kota to move as he groaned, “Ah! Hey! Knock it off! We can’t leave our positions!” She growled, “If we don’t our friends will be Kirst food-”
“Ah!” they heard a groan as Kota called, “Karina? What’s happen-” A blast suddenly hit them, knocking the fur off as Ryuichi stood before them, smirking, “About time I had some fun…”
“Shit, we’ve been spotted!” Rena said, “Pull into action. I’ve got to warn-” The two fell as Kyoko stood over them as Rena released cries of pain. Kyoko smirked, “Ha, try to warn your friends while your mind is being turned into mist-” Rikia swung her scythe at her, knocking her back at Rena panted, too weak to keep up the link connecting everyone.

“*gasp*” Hakufu flinched as she hit the table and the keys were about to fall. Kei quickly formed a hand out of his energy and caught it midair. They all sighed in relief as Hakufu grabbed the key and tossed it to Kia.
“... Won’t it be easier if we take out the guard?” Ryutaro said, stepping inside as Hikaru grabbed his shoulder, “hey, they gave us an order and that’s to wait-”
“Sh.” Kia called back to them as the guard began stirring in sleep. Hakufu tried to glance under the guards helmet, “Hey, Kia… who is this?”
“Doesn’t matter…” she said jiggling the key into the keyhole. She looked at the body laying on the ground, her face away from her as she whispered, “Rayna… Rayna wake up. It’s me…”
“Kia, we don’t know this Piper… at least she hasn’t been seen at all.”
“Then it’s probably Akako…” she whispered as she finally got it unlocked. “Yes, I got it, Hakufu. Help me out over here.” The two entered the prison and froze as they stared at the familiar girl.
“Kia… that’s…” Hakufu began.
“... No way…” she shook her head. “There’s got to be some kind of mistake.”
“Kia, I specifically asked for the final Sight who opened the second barrier and it led us to her….” Hakufu said. “Rayna isn’t the fourth Sight.” They looked down at the girl, blood and bruises were covering her face and some of her skin, dirt was all over her clothes, some a bit torn.
“... The last sight… Is Oburi.” she said.
“If… if she’s the last Sight… then what about Rayna?” Kia wondered. Hakufu shrugged in response, “How the hell did this happen? It wasn’t suppose to be this way!”
“Sh. Come on. We gotta get her outta here-” A sudden gust of wind began swirling around, knocking things out of the way as Kia and Hakufu grabbed Oburi’s arms, wrapping them around their shoulders as they moved out from the cage.
“Hurry!” Kei called as they came over and helped them with Oburi. Just as they headed for the door, it slammed shut, locking them in. “What the hell?!”
“Heh, so gullible.” they heard as the female guard said with a smirk, “You fell into the trap so easily.”
“Heh, we can get outta this easily-”
“I wouldn’t use the code if I were you…” she smirked. “Your little friends out there were surprised to be found out so quickly…”
“Where are they?!” Kei growled, drawing his sword as she easily flung it out of his grasp. He glared as she giggled, “They’ll be joining us- oh, right now.”
“Urgh!” the door slammed open as the Kirst threw all the Browsers, weakened, beaten, and bloodied onto the ground. The Triad, Yukio, and the Kirst soon surrounded them as Kia growled, “What the hell is wrong with you?! Do you get a kick outta seeing other in pain?!”
“Yes, actually. It’s pretty fun. You should try it.” she scoffed. “Too bad I won’t give you the chance though.” With quick speed, she went to strike at Kia, as Hikaru, easily seeing it coming, pulled out his sword and blocked, knocking her back.
“Heh, as I’d expect from one of the Alvador’s chosen Browsers.” she smirked at him. He glared, “How the hell did you know that?”
“I got my ways.” she responded. “Now, who should we start off with first-”
“Tele-” Hakufu began as she stopped when she was suddenly punched back, right into Kei, standing behind her. “AH!”
“Hakufu!” Kia tried to head over but was blocked by the guard.
“I warned you. Try to use the code and I will kill each and every one of your Browsers…. right in front of you.”
“Now… Kia was it?” she giggled. “I guess I’ll start with you. You’re going to open up the next barrier for me.”
“Never.” she glared.
“Alright, then I’ll give you the choice of who I kill.” she shrugged.
“Fine.” she responded, “There’s just one thing. We don’t go down easily! Kei!” A large dome formed around them as she grabbed Hakufu, “Everyone, hold on-” A huge crack appeared on the dome as Kei cried out in pain.
“No time! Too many of us are knocked out.” Hikaru answered. “Just heal them!”
“Heal!” The two focused on the Browsers as they were soon good as new. The dome fell as the Guardians faced the Triad, the Seekers and Detectives went against the Kirst and Yukio, Hakufu and Kia went for the guard.
“Appear! Sword!” Kia said as she went to strike her, but she easily dodged. “Get rid of the mask, Akako. We already know its you.”
“Heh, oh you definitely know me.” she chuckled.
“Freeze!” Hakufu focused her abilities as she dodged it. She just laughed, “Good try though… But I’m not Akako.”
“I’m Akako.” they heard as two people soon stood at the door. One, Akira as previously seen in the last battle and the girl Kia remembered to see within Oburi’s books. Her long black hair and pale face resembled the character a lot as well as the familiar clothes all Adeth Prison female Employees were required  to wear. The Khaki skirt, blue shirt and black cardigan over it.
“Whoa, wait. If that’s Akako, then who the hell are you?” Hakufu wondered as Kia remembered the mysterious man in the black hood. He was working for someone.
“You’re it.” Kia realized. “You’re the true leader of the Pipers.”
“Bingo.” she beamed.
“Then we might as well end this now!” she growled, swung her sword as she ducked and swung her leg, knocking Kia down. “Ah!”
“You gotta do better than that-urgh!” She was hit as Hakufu shot fire at her. She glared, “Not bad, kid. But you’re still just a beginner.”
“Kia watch out!” she heard as she ducked to avoid a strike by Rikia’s Scythe.
“Hey, what the hell are you-”
“I can’t control myself!” Rikia shouted. “Someone help!” A large box formed around her as Kei focused, only to be hit by Ryosuke’s fist. “Ah! Ryosuke!”
“I’m not in control!” he said as Kia looked at Akako, smirking in victory. “It’s her Hypnosis! She must have gotten to some of you when you were knocked out!”
“I’m on it!” Rena focused on on the minds in the room and cancelled out the hypnosis. Akako glared, “This is getting less and less entertaining.”
“I agree-” Akira began as he ducked to avoid a punch. Kota glared, “Time for some payback for all the hell you put me through in that prison.”
“And you’re mine…” Karina blocked Akako from leaving.
“Hakufu, maneuver A!” Kia said as she nodded. The two split up as she focused on the leader of the Pipers, “Fire!” A large blast formed around her as she yawned, “Is that the best you can do?”
“Not even close.” She smirked as Hakufu focused, “Freeze!” The fire began freezing around her, soon encasing her in ice.
“Nice-” Kia beamed as it soon cracked. She panted, “Good try. I didn’t see that coming. Guess that means I gotta play harder too!” A punch came to Kia’s stomach as she was hit back. She groaned in pain as another hit was about to get her.
“Protect!” Hakufu shouted as the leader was deflected away. She quickly helped Kia up, “Kia, everyone exhausted. We gotta get outta here.”
“Yeah… Rena, tell Mai to get you all out.” she gritted as Rena nodded.
“I don’t think so.” the leader smirked. “This party is just getting started! Appear, Mallet.” A large mallet appeared in her hand as Kia froze, “What the hell… did she just-”
“Move!” Hakufu said as they rolled to the side to avoid getting smushed. “I got her!” Swiftly, Hakufu ran towards her, “Speed!” And in a second, she managed to tackle her down.
“Protect!” Kia shouted as she went to kick Hakufu away. “Barrier!” A trap formed around her as she was pinned down.
“Hakufu. The helmet.” she panted, trying to regain her breath.
“Right. Teleport! Helmet-” she was suddenly hit away as  large Kirst stormed through, breaking the barrier.
“Ah!” Kia gritted as she was hit into a wall. “Shit.. that hurt like hell…” She froze as she stared at the girl who got up, fixing her now long brown hair. She sighed, “Oh, dear. There goes the mystery… I’ve been found out.” Her light blue eyes gaze at Kia as if she were prey. “Been a while Kia. I’ve really missed you…”
“... No way…” she froze in disbelief. “R-Rayna?”
