Anime Cipher Chapter 3: More Than Hallucinations...

Rating: M (due to language only)

Summary: 4 different stories all merge into one great adventure. Kiara Davis, a high school senior has no love greater than anime. But how will she react when some of her favorite anime characters are actually appearing in front of her own eyes? And not only that, but she gets pulled into their world as well! Could it be because of her own private code she created out of pure boredom? What is all this leading to?
“Hey, Kia... are you alright? You've seriously been to yourself a lot lately.” Daiki asked. She shrugged, “I dunno... I've just been... a little freaked out. Do you think... its weird that I keep having hallucinations about my favorite animes?”He gave her a look as she sighed, “Of course it is.. what a stupid question to ask...”

“Heh, relax Kia. It's just your imagination. Nothing wrong with that.”he stated with a smile. “Anyways... you've been working hard lately... so I got you a little something.”He held out a bag for her as she stared at it suspiciously, “Is this some kind of prank?”

“Haha, just take the gift Kia.” he laughed at her as she sighed and took it. As she stared into it as her eyes went wide, “No way!”

“I thought you'd like it.” he beamed as she pulled out the latest volume of Scroll Quest. “Saw it on sale and thought you'd really appreciate it if I got it for you.”

“Daiki, you are such an amazing friend!” she hugged him happily. She then laughed, “You realized that now, I'll be fangirling again instead of studying.”He chuckled, “Well, I think you deserve a few days of fangirling... after all, when was the last time you had time for your anime?”She thought about it. Every since she found her code, she's been a little weirded out. She knows for sure its a prank. But whoever sent it... she had no idea. It was still freaky and since she's been loaded up on school work, she hasn't been watching or reading anything anime related.

“It has been a while...” she sighed. “What class do we have next again?”

“History.” he answered as she smiled, “Perfect! Great place to read. Good thing you sit in front of me... cover me ok?”

“Haha, alright.” he laughed.

[ “Guess this is it for you, Keito!” Yukio smirked as he aimed his Sai right at Keito's heart, but right before it hit him, an arrow flew right into Yukio's shoulder knocking him off Keito.

“I don't think so.”they heard as they saw a girl with long brown hair, the ends, slightly curled. Her dark brown eyes were glaring at Yukio as she reached for another of arrow in her quiver. Yukio smirked as he pulled the arrow out of his shoulder with only a small groan of pain. He laughed, “You need little girls to protect you, Keito? How pathetic--” He dodged her next shot as she shouted, “Hey, why don't you do yourself a favor and leave while you still can!”

“Is that a threat?” he raised an eyebrow as she fired another one at him, barely missing his head. “I guess it is.”He sighed, “I guess we can have some fun again next time.. see you then.”Just as Keito tried to hit him, Yukio dodged and sped off away.

“Coward!” Keito shouted after him.

“Hey...” Tsubasa said as she placed her bow on her back. Keito turned to her as she said, “No rebels... the place is completely desert...”

“Alright, let's make our way over there... where's Kyoumi and Riki?”he stated as she answered, “Double checking the village. Seeing if there's anything useful there.” Ryutaro then said, “We better get moving fast... since Yukio was here... there has to be an army of Kirst following.”

“Right... come on.” Keito said as they quickly headed into the village. ]

“Kia...” she heard Daiki call.

“Hang on... it's getting good!” she whispered back as she continued reading.

“Kia. You really need to--”

“Kiara!” she heard as she jumped up at the sudden loudness. She turned to see her teacher standing next to her desk as she gave a small smile, “Hey Ms. Stevensons... how's your day going?”

“It could be going a lot smoother if some students would actually pay attention during my class.”she gave her a look and put her hand out. Kia put her book down and smiled to her classmates, “You all here that? Seriously guys. Pay attention!” She turned back to her teacher as her classmates gave small giggles and Daiki just rolled his eyes with a smile. “I got your back, Ms. Stevensons. They'll all listen now.”

“Thanks for your cooperation, Kiara.” she sighed, shaking her head. She took her book as Kia panicked, “Ah! Wait--”

“You can get this back after you serve a detention after school.”she said going back to the front of the class as she pouted. Daiki told her, “Tried to warn you...”

“I know.. but I was getting so into it!” she said. “And now I won't be able to finish it until after detention-- aww! I have to stay an hour after school!” Daiki laughed at her depressed face as he told her, “Hey, come on. One hour isn't that bad...”

“It is if you don't have your manga to pass the time...” she sighed.

“Kiara! Daiki!” their teacher called as they stopped.

~

“Eh?! I'm the only one?!” Kia groaned as she saw she was the only one in the room for detention. Her teacher nodded, “Yes. Now sit down and be quiet!”Kia pouted and did as she was told. After about 10 minutes, her teacher left to finish some paper work, leaving Kia all alone.

“Urgh... soooooo boring....” she groaned laying her head on the desk.” She closed her eyes, just thinking about different things when she heard something. It sounded like something clashing. She stood up and headed for the window when suddenly someone teleported in front of her.

“Ah!”Kia fell back in shock as the girl turned to her. Her curly light brown hair was a mess and her brown eyes stared at her in surprised as she said, “Who.. what are you doing here...”

“I-I...” she tried to say but shook it off as she rubbed her eyes. “You... you're Mai... Mai Chiba from Serenity, right?”

“Yea.. how do you know me?” she gave a questioning look.

“But... you're not--”

“Get down!” Mai said as she knocked her down and a blast emerged, shattering the window. Kia groaned, “What the hell is going on?!”

“Damn... Ryuichi set himself off again!” she said quickly getting up and looking out the window. She turned to Kia, “Stay here. I'll be back as soon as I check up on the others.” She teleported away as Kia thought, “Others?” She was hesitant, but slowly made her way towards the window. As she peeked through the broken glass, she could not believe what she was seeing. The Guardians and Triads (from the anime Aluna) were in battle right before her very eyes.

“No way...” Kia stared. She then slapped her cheeks softly and shut her eyes tight. She opened them again, but they were still there. Ryuichi, who has now reformed, after he exploded himself in hopes of destroying some of the guardians, was now unconsciously laying on the ground. Yuya had managed to phase himself as well as Rena and Ryosuke through the blast and Kei was able to make an energy barrier around him, Aoki, and Yuri. Both Kei and Yuya, were now weak due to all the energy they had used.

“Ok...” Kia said breath heavily. “Just calm down, Kia. You're hallucinating... that's all. Just go back to your seat and relax.. this will all just go away in a minute--”She jumped under her teacher's desk as Kyoko slammed Aoki through whatever was left of the window.

“Ah!!!” Kia screamed scared, “Ok! Ok, this is actually happening! God, I'm sorry for whatever I did wrong, please just get me outta here!”

“Hmmm, seems like we aren't alone...” she heard Kyoko's voice as she stood over her. Kia froze in her place, scared to death about the position she was in. Kyoko's glare sent shivers down her spine, her cold blue eyes seemed to stare straight into her very soul. A small smirk appeared on her face as she saw the fear rising within Kia.

“Is she another one of your loser friends--”Kyoko was then kicked away as Aoki landed on the table. She glared, “Stay focused Kyoko... or you could lose your life.”Aoki looked under the table, “If you don't want to get hurt, I suggest you get outta here fast.”She then charged at Kyoko again as Kia heart raced, she could barely breath as she got out from under the desk and headed right for the door. As she ran out right into someone.

“Kiara Davis! Just where do you think you're going?!”She heard a loud booming voice as she fell to the ground. She looked up to see an enraged Miss Stevensons. She quickly got up and told her “There's some crazy battle going on in your classroom!”She gave her a 'you're-crazy' look and sighed,“You have lost it Kia! You need to stop reading those fantasy books!”she went towards the classroom as Kia tried to stop her, “Wait don't go in there!”

“What the heck happened in here?!”she yelled as Kia peeked back into the room. She was surprised to see that it was back to the normal classroom. Outside was the bright blue sky and green scenery. The only difference was the broken window caused by a baseball that flew in.

“...It's all.... gone.” Kia said confused.

“Urgh... those kids... they are going to pay for a new window.” Her teacher sighed. “You're excused Kia. Take your book and leave.” Kia did as she was told as she continuously thought, “Okay... I'm getting crazier... now these characters are actually talking to me...”As she ran outta of the school, she then ran into someone, causing her to fall on the ground.

“Ah! I'm sorry! Please don't hurt me!” she panicked, still freaking out about what just had happened.
“Kia... calm down. Are you alright?” she heard as she saw Daiki still there.

“What are you still doing here?”

“I decided to wait for you. We have work to get done remember?” he smiled as she stated. “And you waited for an hour...” He nodded as she lit up, “Hey... did you see anything... weird?”

“What do you mean by weird?”he gave her a look as she said, “Umm... like a battle?”

“A battle? Haha maybe its was a bad idea giving you more manga... you're way too obsessed.” he laughed at her. She thought, but sighed, “Maybe... that was just too freaky... I felt like I was gonna die...”

“Haha, you must have a really great imagination then.” he smiled. “Well, don't worry about it. We should focus on our math assignment or we'll get marked down...”

“...Right...” Kia said, still worried about her crazy delusions. “Let's go...”
