Summary: It's been 10 years since Yuto has seen his childhood friend/ first love. Everyday, he would go to their favorite place in hopes of her return. One day he sees a familiar looking girl. After a closer look, she is in fact his friend he's been longing to see. But she doesn't know who he is at all. Is she really his childhood friend? Or did she just forget?
“Is he gonna be alright?” Ryosuke asked the other guys as they stared at Yuto from afar. It was the day of their concert and he's been sitting quietly to himself ever since he talked to Misa. They all shrugged as Chiaki said, “Man... that girl has some nerve! Doesn't she know how long he's been waiting for her and then she just blows him off?! Geez...”
“But its not her fault... she says she's not who he thinks she is.” Kei defended her. Ryutaro thought, “But she did live in the same house as Yuto's Mimi. And she's lived there even before she left to America right?” Chiaki nodded, “That's what Mai said... She has to be Mimi. All the signs point to her. Its obvious that she forgot... and because she forgot, she hurt my best friend! So it is her fault, Kei.”
“Well, she probably didn't mean to hurt him.. you can't blame her for not having the same feelings for him can you?” Daiki thought. Kei nodded, “Yea... so, she doesn't have mutual feelings for Yuto. You can't force her to like him...” Chiaki sighed, “That is true... I just hate seeing him like this... There has to be something I can do...”
“Ah... she got a ticket backstage from Yabu right?” Keito thought as Yabu nodded.
“Ah! That's it!” Chiaki lit up happily. “I've got an idea~!” She began planning something as Kei quietly snuck away as he saw the time.
“Alright, so interview questions are ready... Camera's are charged.... and we all have our tickets?” Misa questioned Ayako and Kimiko as they nodded. She smiled, “Great. And Mai and Haruka will be joining us too...”
“Geez, you and your sister are so lucky... back stage with JUMP~!” the two girls smiled.
“My sister really needs the distraction so hopefully this will help her out.” Misa stated. Ayako nodded, “Right... parents... It must be hard for her having to be in the shadow of you and your older sister. I'd hate having to live up to those expectations...”
“It wasn't easy for me either... Nee-chan... she seems to be perfect at everything. I could never surpass her. Sure I met my parents expectations, but... I could never be better than her at anything...” she sighed. “I might always be in her shadow... but no matter what, she's still my sister...”
“Aww... you all must be really close.” Kimiko smiled. She nodded, “Yea... but she's been really busy with school work so we haven't seen her in two years. Hopefully she'll take a break to come see us.”
“I'm sure she will. Just give her some time.” Ayako assured her. Misa nodded, “I will... anyways. We've got 3 hours before the concert to spare.”
“Haha, we could probably head over there an hour earlier... talk to Eru about interviews and stuff.”
“Alright. Then I'll head home to get Haruka and Mai. We'll meet in front of the dome at 7:00.” she said as she got up. They nodded as they soon heard, “Misa~!!” She was tackled in a hug as she sighed, “You're here again Kei? Should you be getting ready for your concert?”
“But I wanted to see you~!” he smiled as she rolled her eyes.
“Well, we will see you later Misa.” Kimiko winked at her and Ayako giggled. They left as she turned to Kei. “So what's up?” He answered, “Just wanted to see you. That's all.”
“Well you saw me..” she smiled as she got her stuff and headed to the door with Kei following. “So maybe you should head back to the dome for last minute rehearsal.” He sighed, “Nah... we aren't practicing yet... everyone's just talking about Yuto right now.”
“Why?”
“... well he's been pretty quiet since what happened...”
“Oh... since we had a talk together?” she wondered as he nodded. “Was he really that disappointed?” He nodded again, “I guess so... He really thinks you're Mimi... And so does everyone else...”
“...Do you think so too?” she asked him as they stopped in the hallway. He thought, “I'm not sure. You seem to know that you don't know him, yet he sees to know that you are his childhood friend... Its hard to figure out.” She sighed, “He's... so persistent. It's kind of cute. The way he's been waiting all these years for his first love. And even when he think he's found her, and she doesn't know who he is... he still tries to get her to remember him.”
“... Misa...” Kei gave a worried look to her as he saw her face. “Are you... are you saying you are the girl?” She gave a small smile, “...No... I'm not, but wouldn't you want someone like that? Someone who will be waiting for you... no matter what. Many years can go by, you can forget all about him... yet he will still wait for you. It's... It's really romantic don't you think?” There was a silence as she said, “Anyways... I'm not the girl he thinks I am... and its not right if I pretend to be... that would only hurt him in the end.” She continued walking as Kei followed.
“So you're the hopeless romantic type, Misa?” Kei asked. She nodded, “Aren't most people? Its so sweet when people do romantic things for each other... it always so heart-touching and it makes my heart beat so fast~! It's just... it makes me feel like I'm living in a fairy tale... don't you think so?” He nodded, “Yea... that would be sweet.”
“Well... anyways... I gotta get home. So I can make it to your guy's concert...” she stated as they reached the lobby. She spotted Yuina and said, “Ah, Yuina, can I ask a favor? We won't have a meeting next tuesday because its midterm week... so can you call up the girls?”
“No problem.” she smiled. “Have fun tonight~”
“Haha, won't be a a problem since I'll be there...” Kei laughed as she rolled her eyes, “Oh yea...because you're so fun huh?” He smiled as they headed out and he said, “Maybe I can walk you home?”
“Don't you need to get ready for your concert?” she gave him a look.
“Yea, but taking you home is much more enjoyable.” she told her. She sighed, “You're so gonna get it from Eru...”
“...Good point...” he pouted. “But I'll still walk you. It won't take too long...” She nodded, “I guess I'll let you.” He smiled, “Alright~!” She giggled at him, “You're such a dork sometimes, you know that...”
“Yea. But if I gotta be dorky to put smiles on peoples faces... then I'll do it.” he beamed as she stared at him. She smiled, “... You're a really sweet guy...” He gave a soft laugh, “Really? Thanks Misa...” She nodded as the continued onto her house and soon turned the corner.
“You should probably head to the concert... wouldn't want you to get punished by Eru.” she told him. He shrugged, “If it happens, it happens. Still got plenty of--” Misa interrupted him as she shouted, “Haruka!” Her sister ran up to her hugging her as Misa sighed, “Again?” The girl nodded as she said, “Kei, I really gotta go. Come on, Haruka.”
“No...” she said as Misa began talking her back home. She wiped the tears falling from her faces, “I don't wanna go back right now! They'll just continue yelling at me!” She thought, “Well I gotta talk to them about this...” She saw the upset look on her sister's face as she sighed, “Kei? Can I ask a favor of you?”
“Sure, what do you need?”
“Can you take my sister already? At least then she's with someone I can trust.” she stated. “Mai and I will catch up soon.” He nodded, “Yea, no problem. As long as your sister's alright with it.” She nodded, “As long as I don't need to be at home.” Misa sighed, “Keep a close eye on her for me... I'll be there as soon as I can.”
“Alright.” he said.
“Thanks Kei. I owe you one.” she smiled as she headed towards her house.
“Anytime.” he said. He turned to her sister, “So... I'm Kei. Nice to meet you..”
“Haruka.” she introduced. “Um... can we go? I kinda want to get outta here as soon as possible.” He nodded, “Oh, sure...” They began walking as he asked, “So are you a JUMP fan too?” She shook her head, “Not really... I've heard a few of your songs from Misa. That's all... I just wanted to get outta the house.”
“Oh so were you arguing with maybe another sister? Or brother?” he wondered.
“No... my sisters and I get along great. And we don't have any brothers.” she told him.
“Then... your parents? What happened?”
“...It's none of your business.” she said as she began walking a little faster. Kei quickly walked next to her, leading the way.
“Excuse me... is there someone named Misa here?” Yuina heard someone say behind her as she looked through files. She nodded, “Yea, but she left not too long--” She turned as she stopped. She then smiled, “Well, back so soon?”
“Haha, yea I guess. We really need to see Misa.” Keito smiled to her.
“I'd love to help, but she's not here.” she told him. He thought, “Well, you're the secretary... shouldn't you know where all the club members live?” She nodded, “yea, but that's classified information. I can't just give that out... its an invasion of privacy.” He sighed sadly as she looked at all the papers on her desk.
“Ah... she forget all the meeting plans for next week.” Yuina said staring at the papers. Keito gave her a look, “I guess I should run these over to Misa's house.” She gave him a little wink, “Would you mind accompanying me there?”
“Sure.” he smiled as they headed out.
