Summary:Ayako hate bullies a lot and will stand up for those being bullied. She and Ryutaro, a bully, would always confront each other.Despite the fact that he's in JUMP with her brother, Ayako still hates that Ryutaro bullies people. Why is Ryutaro such a bully and why does Ayako hate bullies so much?
SLAP! The sound echoed through the classroom as everyone became silent. A red handprint laid on the young boy's face as the girl facing him angrily yelled, “You're nothing but a bully, Ryutaro!” Everyone in the class began murmuring, “She just slapped him!” “I don't care if she is Chinen's sister... she's a jerk for hitting Ryutaro.” Ryutaro and Ayako just continued to glare at one other, when Ryutaro pushed past her, cooly.
“Are you crazy?!” her best friend Mikako told her as she quickly pulled her out of the classroom. “Stop trying to pick a fight with him!”
“I'm not gonna let him keep bullying anyone he wants to!” she told her. Her friend sighed, “You are so lucky the teacher wasn't in the room... you would've gotten into so much trouble... Don't you think you should be careful with your action? Slapping guys in the face like that...”
“He deserved it Mika!” she explained.
“Alright... I suppose he did... Ayako. But you know what everyone thinks of him... especially all the girls at this school.”
“Oh yea... they're so upset that I slapped a JUMP member...” she rolled her eyes. “He's just like any other guy... except meaner.”
“I know that... but not everyone else does...” she sighed. “Just be careful with what you do...” Ayako nodded, “I will, ok? I know the consequences of my actions.”
For the past two years, Ayako and Ryutaro have been at each other's throats. Ryutaro would always be bullying people for the most littlest things, whereas Ayako would be stopping and scolding him for it.
“Hmm...” Mikako went around the school after class looking as she soon spotted someone, “Ah! Yuri!” A smile appeared on her best friend's brother, “Ah, Mika... what's up?” She asked, “Have you seen Ayako around? She ran off somewhere and I wanted to go to the mall with her...”
“Oh, she had a doctor's appointment today.”
“A doctor's appointment? She didn't seem sick.” Mika said a bit worried. Yuri, seeing her worry said, “Oh, don't worry... its just a check up. To see how her health is...” He rubbed the back of his head with a smile as Mika gave him a suspicious look, “... You're lying...”
“What? Why would I lie?” he said a bit nervous.
“I've know both of you for the past 3 years since I meet Ayako at the start of high school! And if I know you Chinen's like I think I do.... I would know that when you scratch your head like you just did, you would be telling a lie.”
“I don't scratch my head when I'm lying!” he pouted as he rubbed his head again. Mika raised an eyebrow looking at him as he stopped. He thought, “Well, you don't need to worry it. She has a check-up practically every month.”
“Why though?” she thought as he was about to scratch his head again, but stopped himself. “My parents asked the doctor's too. To make sure she's in good health... I've got to get to practice. See ya.” He ran off before Mikako could continue to question him. She thought, “What's he hiding?... Shouldn't I know about my best friend... Hmmm, maybe I'll ask Ayako later. I'll just leave it alone for now...”
“Take this!” some girls shouted as they hit Ayako to the ground. They continued to kick and hit her as they said, “This is what you get for slapping Ryutaro!” She didn't react or fight back as they soon heard, “Hey! Back off!!” Someone ran in between them as she glared at the girls, “You're just as bad as Ryutaro! Stop bullying Ayako!” They glared at Mikako and they soon left them alone. Mika helped her best friend up, “You okay?” She was quiet at first but soon smiled, “I'm fine... don't worry about me.”
“What kind of best friend would I be if I didn't worry about you?” she questioned. “Seriously... at least do something instead of sitting there. Don't just let them bully you.”
“I'd rather be bullied then others...” she said as Mika helped her clean off all the dirt on her.
“You're too nice sometimes, Ayako. Seriously, don't let people bully you like that.” she said worried. “You stood up to Ryutaro when he's bullying little kids... stand up for yourself when you get bullied too.”
“Don't worry about Mika? I'm fine...” she said as the class bell rang. “Come on. We need to get to class.” Ayako headed off with her best friend following behind.
“So... shall we hang out at mall today?” Ayako heard as she and Mika began walking home. She shook her head, “Not today... I'm kinda tired. Gotta finish my assignments and then knock out...” There was a silence as Mika told her, “Ayako, you're my best friend.... you know you can talk to me about anything right?”
“Of course. If anyone knows anything about it, it's you.” she smiled. Mika sighed, “Alright. Just wanted to make sure... I'll see you tomorrow.” She entered her house as Ayako continued on towards her place. On her way, she saw a familiar person and glared.
“I'm sorry! I'm really sorry I didn't mean to bump into you!” the younger boy said scared as Ryutaro grabbed him by his collar and pinned him against the wall. Ryutaro just glared as a smack came to his head.
“Stop bullying little kids you jerk!” Ayako scolded him. He glared at her, “Just stay outta my business!” She answered, “I would if you weren't such a bully! What did they ever do to you?” He responded, “Well that kid just bumped me--”
“Oh grow up! Its a busy street! There's lots of people so the chances of you getting bumped is high!” she interrupted as he growled, “Look, this isn't some perfect world got it? You've got a choice... bully or be bullied. No way am I gonna get bullied so I might as well be a bully.” He stormed off as she glared annoyed.
